President Barack Obama apologized Friday to California's attorney general for calling her “The best looking Attorney General in the United States,” which she is. It is highly unlikely Obama was being sexist or making a pass at her. He was, I am certain, making a joke. A joke he has made many times, often referring to male politicians and officials as, “That handsome guy over there.” What makes Obama’s well-intended humor toward General Kamala Harris different, however, is political opportunism the moment presented. I seriously doubt any well-adjusted man or woman on the planet found the remark offensive, which leaves two categories of people: extremist, over-sensitive women who need therapy, and people pretending to be offended in order to make trouble for the president. When I was a child, my mother taught me to always pay a lady a compliment. When I became a man, my pastor taught me not to. Paying a lady a compliment is a dangerous gamble for a minister. CONTINUED
