Band of Brothers

President Barack Obama said Friday that the capture of a suspect in the Boston Marathon bombing closes what he called, “an important chapter in this tragedy.” But it is only a chapter. The sad and strange horror of the Boston Marathon bombing clearly raises far more questions than will be answered now or in the near future. The immense publicity and better-than-Hollywood chases and shoot-outs surrounding bombing suspects Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 19, and his brother, Tamerlan, 26, including news media saturation of YouTube instructional bomb-making videos, will surely spur copycats both genuinely radical and the thrill-seeking deranged. We have no way of knowing if the brothers Tsarnaev acted alone or were one cell among many cell groups. We have no way of calculating how many other unhinged radicals are out there, now encouraged by Tamerlan’s “glorious” death and the notoriety both brothers now enjoy.   CONTINUED
